  • Why is a Needs Assessment Important?

    When organization leaders understand the strengths and weaknesses, then they can create clear and defined goals for the organization. This type of assessment can consider the smallest and largest statuses within the organization: from the micro to the macro level, to determine a clear plan of action.

  • Cross Functional Approach

    Cross-functional Approach involves communicating, and collaborating with people from different functions, departments, or disciplines to understand the organizational culture, organizational health, and views for collective goals and/or barriers to growth. To assess how well you and your team are performing, meetings with key stakeholders, organizational leaders, as well as staff in the field, are a key element to the process.

  • What to Expect

    3—6 weeks engagement 

    • Access and review of relevant documents: Bylaws, policies and procedures, board minutes, annual budgets, employee handbook, org chart, and strategic plan or org priorities.
    • Meet with Key Stake Holders, Staff/Employees, and Leaders (Up to Four 90-minute meetings)
    • Meet with Leadership to present key findings from stakeholder meetings.  Discuss current state and the desired model.
    • Provide and present Executive Summary and Recommendations or “road map” for improvements and implementation.

It all started with a trip to Lucca Italy in June of 2012 that inspired the "Dream Team", John and Jodi Davick, to start Luccas. After years in the restaurant industry the two finally had a place to call their own.


It was November of 2017 when Luccas American Kitchen officially opened its doors at 428 Lancaster Street in Leominster, MA; the same building that formerly housed the Gondola Restaurant for 58 years. The quiet opening allowed word-of-mouth advertising to steadily build our reputation of fresh, scratch-made items and excellent customer service.


After years of hard work and success the unimaginable happened. On July 17, 2021 fire broke-out in the attic and duct work of Luccas, damaging the structure of the building to the point that ceilings were removed throughout and a complete rebuild would be necessary. Although the fire was crushing and changed the course of Luccas, we’re thankful every day that there were no injuries.


John and Jodi saw an opportunity after the fire and pivoted to operating the truck they had been using as a mobile kitchen during catering events as the Luccas American Kitchen Food Truck; nothing was going to stop them. The food truck hit the road, making it to as many private and public events as possible so that everyone could get their Luccas fix.


This journey has brought the “Dream Team” to open a temporary home for Luccas walking distance from the original location as we work to rebuild a new and improved Luccas American Kitchen that we can’t wait to share with all of you!
